Description: Qi Gong is the 4000-year-old Chinese science of cultivating the body's internal energy. Students are taken through a series of basic exercises designed to enhance the flow of and connection to Qi (Energy), reducing stress and increasing strength, flexibility, body metabolism, immune function, breathing capacity, stamina and mental clarity. Specific exercises are taught for the prevention and treatment of conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, frozen shoulder, sciatica and low back pain. This class is an essential aid for bodyworkers in strengthening their own body mechanics, especially to prevent and treat past or present injuries.
Student Notes: Wear layered, movable clothing including socks and sneakers.
