Prerequisite: Full body massage training.
Description:
This class explains Fibromyalgia, including its symptoms and how it affects sufferers. Students learn the 18 Fibromyalgia Tender Points and techniques to reduce pain, including light massage, tender point connection work, gentle PNF stretches, and soft tissue manipulation. Breathing techniques which can aid in the reduction of overall pain, including Qi Gong exercises will also be taught. Dietary advice will be given, including scents and products to avoid using in the treatment room for maximum comfort and healing of clients.
Student Notes: Bring 2 sheets, 1 towel, blanket, a regular bed pillow, and lotion.
