Diane Dalbey
Diane Dalbey, Ph.D., CST, CMT, has been a teacher and body-mind practitioner for thirteen years. In 1990, after two decades in publishing, Diane earned her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Somatic Psychotherapy. As a trauma resolution specialist, she uses advanced CranioSacral Therapy – CST, Somatic Experiencing® and many other modalities. Diane has studied in the U.S. and China and served on the faculty of the Touch Therapy Institute (now National Holistic Institute) since 1990, as well as at Total Woman. She also guest lectures at Pierce College on Stress Management. She is a member of the International Association of Healthcare Practitioners®, the Foundation for Human Enrichment®, the Upledger Institute Foundation, and is listed in Who’s Who in the West and Outstanding Young Women of America.


Lena Nyholm
Lena Nyholm, PT, CMT, a native of Finland, began her long history of bodywork when she took her first massage class at Axelsons Gymnastiska Institute in Sweden in 1980. She then became a physical therapist at the renowned Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. During her long career and many travels, Lena has learned a variety of techniques. She began her teaching career over seventeen years ago and has served as an advanced teacher and administrator for the massage program at Axelsons Gymnastiska Institute in Sweden, and she taught workshops all over Sweden and Finland. She has together with a Swedish educational corporation educated physical education teachers in the art of massage and stretching. Lena Nyholm conducted a scientific research study on chronic pain patients and massage with the University of Uppsala in Sweden. This research was published in 2004 in the Psychotherapy Psychosomatic Medical Journal. Lena is an authority and a published author in the field of tactile massage, including Child Massage and Geriatric Massage. Her book “Swedish Child Massage” has been translated and published in the English language. Her articles are published in various Swedish professional magazines, and in ABMP’s massage newsletter "Different Strokes.” Lena has been affiliated with the Institute since 1993.


Maria Furlano
Maria Furlano, L.Ac.,MTOM, HHP, is a Licensed Acupuncturist and trained as a Holistic Health Practitioner since 1996. Maria has practiced Qi Gong for 10 years and began training in Martial Arts at age 12 under Tae Kwon Do Grandmaster David Chaanine. In 2000 & 2001 studied Qi Gong in China at the Beijing Red Cross Medical Exchange Center with Master Su Jian Wan, and is currently training under Dr. Bernard Shannon, D.M.Q. with the International Institute of Medical Qi Gong. Receiving her undergraduate training at the Boston Conservatory of Music, Maria has taught Theatrical Movement, Stage Combat, and Breathing Techniques to children and adults at UCLA, the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicom (L.A.), and the Boston Conservatrory of Music. Since 2005 she has been a Qi Gong instructor with the Lionheart Institute of Transpersonal Energy Healing. Since 1999 with the Touch Therapy Institute/National Holistic Institute teaching Body Mechanics, Business, Anatomy/Physiology, Qi Gong, Fibromyalgia, and PNF. Her private practice, the Sacred Space Acupuncture Center (www.SacredSpaceAcu.com) is located in Burbank, CA.


Nicola Salter
Nicola Salter, DiCA, Reiki Master, has taught Reiki for 7 years and has been a Reiki Practitioner for 10. She also received her Diploma in Clinical Aromatherapy from the London College of Aromatherapy. Nicola has had the honor to use her work in hospitals and clinical settings, as well as private practice, both in England and Los Angeles. She appears frequently at health events and on numerous radio and television programs. She runs her own natural skin care company advocating the use of chemical free products. Shulamit Sendowski
Shulamit Sendowski, BA, AmSAT, discovered the Alexander Technique years ago while seeking a relief from physical discomfort and body limitations. Inspired by the genuine ideas, and encouraged by the increasing benefits, she took the 3-year training program, and graduated from the Alexander Training Institute of L.A. in 1991. She has been teaching since then and maintains a private practice as well. Certified by AmSAT (the American Society for the Alexander Technique), she believes in awareness and self observation as primary tools for change, growth, and development. Shula has taught at Touch Therapy since 1996.
