Request for Accommodation

NHI does not discriminate in admission or access to our program on the basis of age, race, color, sex, disability, sexual orientation or national origin. If you would like to request academic adjustment or auxiliary aids, please contact the Director of Admissions or the Director of Compliance at 800.315.3552 or National Holistic Institute, 5900 Hollis Street Suite Q, Emeryville, CA 94608. You may request academic adjustments or auxiliary aids at any time. The Director of Compliance is responsible for coordinating compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Applicants who are persons with disabilities, as defined in paragraph 104.3(j) of the regulation under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, may apply for admittance into the program. NHI will bear the costs of providing academic adjustments, auxiliary aids, or reasonable accommodations unless doing so presents an undue hardship.

Requests for Accommodation, Auxiliary Aid or Service

Any qualified individual with a disability requesting an accommodation or auxiliary aid or service should follow this procedure: 1) Notify the Director of Compliance in writing of the type of accommodation needed, date needed, documentation of the nature and extent of the disability, and of the need for the accommodation or auxiliary aid. The request should be made at least four weeks in advance of the date needed. You may contact the Director of Compliance in the following ways:

2) The Director of Compliance will respond within two weeks of receiving the request.

3) If you would like to appeal the decision regarding your request, please contact the President of NHI with all the previously requested information. Appeals must be submitted within one week of the date of the Director's response.
