I first want to thank my family for being here. Irma, thanks for always being there and believing in me and my sister Yolanda, you know you’re my everything. I love you all, and to my hero my beautiful mother who is up in heaven and I know she is proud. Te quiero mucho mami.
Coming to NHI and being in group 28 was the best thing I could have
done. It changed my life. I learned so much, gained so much knowledge
in which I will feel confident to get out in the real world and be my best as a Massage Therapist and Health Educator. Group 28 is not just a
group but a family.
I learned so much from each and every one of you.
CHARLES- When I'd ask you how you were doing, you were always so
positive saying very calmly “it’s a good day. I'm lucky I'm alive and
here”. You'd always make me think twice about how I was feeling about
my day and to make the best of it even if the little things didn't go
my way.
BRANNON- When I got pretty sick and I told you I drove myself to the
ER with mild Bronchitis, the next day you brought me a bag of cough
drops and told me, “Next time you call me or any of us and we will go with you so you won’t be alone.” That’s one of the times I really felt we loved and cared for each other.
JEFFREY- Even though you always picked on me, I knew there was always
Sweetness to you when out of the blue you would just come and give
me a hug or a mini massage.
SARA- Ms. Tan, There is so much sweetness behind those beautiful blue
eyes. I enjoyed talking to you. Thanks for making our senior trip
happen! It was fun goofing around while waiting in line for the
bathroom.
CHIQUITA- Even though we always fought for Gordon to be our partner
and you would play Ms. Tough girl, I knew you were as sweet as pie.
SOREN- You always made me laugh when you laughed, and I never even knew
what I was laughing about.
IAN- The quiet one, When Izabella would read us stories in our opening circle and you spoke your opinion, you always spoke so beautifully and were inspiring.
RHODEY- It was always fun playing around with you and throwing paper
airplanes and blowing kisses at each other while the teacher wasn't
looking.
CHRIS- Anytime I needed to talk and I was down you always were there
for me :weekends, weekdays, all the time. When I would panic for the finals you always helped me study and you were never selfish, you always shared your notes with me.
CONSTANCE- Also known as “Miss Thang”. It was fun riding with you going
to school and going home. We would always vent to each other about a
hard day at work or being tired. I felt so comfortable talking to you. Even though sometimes you would shush me in class because I was
talking too much, you’re the one who always started the giggling in our meditations and you would make us all giggle.
MATTHEW- Whenever I doubted myself you always knew the right thing to say. One of our first clinics I was really nervous to give a massage and you told me, "Norma what are you worried about? You know your stuff, you’re one of the best, you'll do great”. You always believed in me. Oh, and thanks for also playing with my hair during breaks.
GORDON- My Partner, so they called us husband and wife since we worked together like we knew each other for years. The group would say we fought like an old married couple. We would always fight about who would go first for a massage and who was louder while one of us snored or would talk in our sleep during a massage. You knew me so well, when I was having a rough day and I would try to hide it, you'd know right away something was wrong with me and say, "Talk to me, tell me what’s wrong" Thanks for always setting up the massage table.
Pinkaroos Rule!
JUNIORS- Thanks for letting me pick on you and you guys are all great. I will miss you.
KIRSTEN- You made Kinesiology fun. I learned so much from you and you were always so cute in your pig tails. The class loved you.
IZABELLA- You’re so beautiful inside and out. I learned so much from
you. You taught us so much. Not only did I learn so much about massage and Health but you taught me how to stay grounded and really connect with my spirituality. I am a different person now and a lot has to do with you. You were always there for me and would never hesitate to stay late at night after school to talk to me. You always believed in me. You respected us so much and really valued when we needed you. I wish there were more teachers like you in this world. You are a role model to me.
Juniors, Seniors, Izabella and all the NHI Staff- thanks for making
this year such an amazing magical one. I may not be able to take the
school with me, but I can take what I've learned, my diploma, and my
friends.
I love you all, God bless you, and Izabella thanks for taking us under your wing, we will make you proud.
