Dear NHI,
Every day my family and I see the change that NHI has made in our lives, and I’m happy to tell you about it. For seven years before coming to NHI, I drove a BART train. While this was a very lucrative career, it was very redundant, mechanical and, at times, dangerous. My daily level of stress was taking its toll on my health and my family. I knew I wanted to do something more organic and “hands on”. You don’t get more hands on than at NHI.
Through my experience at NHI, I’ve learned firstly to relax and to teach others to relax as well. The teachers are amazing and their style of teaching made it easy to understand and truly absorb the lessons. Talking with massage therapists who have attended other schools makes me appreciate just how comprehensive NHI’s program is.
Since graduation, I‘ve become the head massage therapist for the Oakland Vipers football team. When I’m not working with the Vipers, I’m a massage therapist at Curves. I also make visits to the BART yards to help my former co-workers alleviate some of their daily stress. Recently, I was picked to appear in two ads for Massage Magazine. None of this would have been possible without the education I received from NHI.
My family and I are very grateful to NHI for the way our lives have changed in just a year. I will always recommend a career in massage to those who have had enough of the daily 9-5 grind, and I will definitely refer them to NHI.
