I am a single mom was living on welfare and Medicare and social security benefits for a disability. I have been attending community college and working odd jobs but nothing I really loved. My daughter was about to graduate high school and I needed help. I turned to my older brother, a certified massage therapist for guidance and decided I wanted to work as a massage therapist too. I did the research of a few colleges in my area and I kept coming back to NHI. I took a tour, loved the atmosphere and decided to enroll in school but also the greatest journey of my life. Once I started classes I knew I was in the right place. The curriculum, the instructors, the various types of massage techniques, and especially your classmates were all part of the NHI experience for me. I was chosen to be the Light Bearer of group #1 and I was so shy and quiet and by attending class, studying, and achieving high grades on my exams by the end of school!
I knew I was born to be a massage therapist. I even achieved a certificate of excellence. I now have a full-time job I love. I am working for XpresSpa at the International Airport, with benefits and paid vacation doing what I love, and achieving my goals of success. My daughter and I graduated the same month. Now I have gone on to work with the best of the best and I am loving every minute of it. For all you students who need a career or a change of career, you need NHI. They are accredited and going on 30 Years of teaching the latest and the oldest in massage therapy. The knowledge and education you will gain at NHI, will last a lifetime. The classroom environment is awesome. And you will learn stick-to-it-tiveness.
I love what I do, you should too.
