The atmosphere alone made me feel like I was supposed to be there. It was warm, comfortable, welcoming. It just felt like home. Then the teachers began to talk to me as I ran into each one along the hallways. No one knew me, yet everyone welcomed me as if we had been friends for a lifetime.
I began the classes and found that although there were some that I did not look forward to attending, each one was beneficial to me. Some of the classes held benefits for that day or that period of life and others I am finding the benefits of now.
NHI prepared me to begin a career as a massage therapist right away. I had everything ready. My resume was written for a professional massage therapist, I had experience documented from clinic to be able to show clients/employers, I knew what I needed to do myself to begin to practice massage and I had it all ready to go in my portfolio that impresses everyone.
I graduated from NHI in October, performed 100 hours of teaching assistance and began working. Right now I am working 4 different jobs as a massage therapist. I am working for a spa, a chiropractor, a salon and for myself. Besides myself all of the other employers were very impressed at how comfortable and prepared I was to enter into their facility and begin working.
Attending the National Holistic Institute changed my life. I am more able to understand and work with all types of people. I feel comfortable in who I am and what I am doing. I am prepared to continue my training and career as a massage therapist. Most of all NHI gave me the ability to have work I love and it really happened. I do love working as a massage therapist.
